About Concetta

Concetta has a Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy and a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. During her undergraduate degree, she gained experience teaching group classes in Restorative Pilates and also worked as a research assistant in a women's cardiovascular health lab. Concetta completed clinical placements in pelvic health and pediatrics at Guelph Women's Health Associates and SMILE Therapy for Kids. She is interested in continuing her education in orthopaedics and pelvic health with a special interest in perinatal care. Concetta practices with a biopsychosocial approach and strives to engage patients as active team players in their care. She is committed to working collaboratively with patients to help them achieve their goals and get back to the activities that are most meaningful to them. Concetta currently holds the position as student representative for the Pelvic and Reproductive Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Through her position, she advocates for increasing awareness and access to pelvic health physiotherapy. She has organized webinars with guest speakers in this field to facilitate lifelong learning in the physiotherapy profession. In her spare time, Concetta enjoys reading, baking, jewellery-making, staying active and practicing Pilates.
