About Cindy

With a background in counselling education and training at undergraduate and graduate levels, Cindy brings to her counselling a depth of knowledge and skill combined with an intense focus on cultural sensitivity. Cindy's passion lies in working with trauma/intergenerational trauma, addictions, anxiety, depression, family dynamics, grief/loss and interpersonal violence. Cindy works from a deeply compassionate relational approach with a focus to support client healing, growth and change. She embraces the counselling experience as a partnership process to facilitate client independence and autonomy. Some of the modalities for trauma treatment include EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy and IFS (Internal Family Systems). Other treatment modalities include EFT (Emotional Focused Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Solution Focused Therapy and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
