About Chris

Let’s create a space where you can express yourself authentically and talk about some of the things going on in your life. Through our therapeutic work we can untangle the knotted string of thoughts, emotions, and sensations that may be creating discomfort and stress. There are so many factors that impact mental health and that is why I strive to provide comprehensive support for all the different aspects of you. Through the strengths you already possess and a therapeutic approach that is personally tailored to you, we can work towards managing the difficulties inherent in life and empower you to reach your full potential. My work is based in client-centred and trauma-informed perspectives, which means that I consider you as the expert on your own life and also know how far-reaching the impacts of traumatic experiences can be. I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from many evidence-based therapies, such as acceptance and commitment therapy, based on your needs and preferences. In our sessions you can expect discussion and reflection, the development of coping skills and strategies, and a therapeutic relationship based on respect and compassion. Holding space for your experiences and intersectional identities are essential aspects of therapy for me. I know that it is hard to look up a therapist, schedule a time, and engage in therapy. Good on you for getting this far. I would appreciate the chance to meet you where you’re at and begin walking with you on this path toward deeper knowledge. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and I have completed all aspects of the MA in Counselling Psychology degree from the University of Western Ontario. I also have an Honours BA in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and have worked with organizations around KW. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, stress, relationship issues, substance use, and grief.
