About Cheryl

Cheryl completed her Master in Science of Physiotherapy at Queen’s University in 2014 and has been working at Ackroyd Physiotherapy Centre since then. Able to communicate in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, her treatments focus on optimizing functional movement patterns and coordination to treat and prevent injuries. Through Acupuncture Canada, she became certified to practice acupuncture in 2015 and is currently, pursuing the Orthopedic and Manual Therapy certification levels. Although she has a keen interest in shoulder rehabilitation, she also has experience in treating all other areas of the body relating to post-motor vehicle accidents and post-surgical conditioning, as well as work and sport-related injuries. The aspect of physiotherapy that Cheryl enjoys the most is connecting with patients from all walks of life and helping them overcome their injuries in order to return to leading life in ways that are most meaningful and functional to them. Outside the office, Cheryl enjoys experimenting with food, traveling and staying active through volleyball, badminton, hiking and snowboarding. Born and raised in Vancouver, she loves the nature that we have in the pacific northwest and would love to help you get outdoors too!
