Chelsea Furtado is a fourth-year naturopathic intern at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), currently providing patient care under the supervision of licensed naturopathic doctors. As part of her clinical training hours prior to graduation, Chelsea is seeing patients at Advanced Women’s Health under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Wilson, ND.
Chelsea’s approach to care is rooted in helping patients feel secure, supported, and informed in their health decisions, with a strong emphasis on prevention and long-term wellness. She values collaborative, individualized care and strives to create a safe space where patients feel heard and empowered to take an active role in their health journey. Her clinical interests include perimenopause and menopause support, metabolic health conditions, and digestive health, with a focus on practical, evidence-informed strategies that fit seamlessly into everyday life.
Prior to beginning her naturopathic medical training, Chelsea completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph. She then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Biology, with a focus on clinical nutrition and nutraceuticals, an academic foundation that continues to inform her patient-centred, nutrition-focused approach to care.
Outside of the clinic, Chelsea enjoys unwinding with a good book or exploring hiking trails both near and far. She is passionate about preventative medicine and is committed to supporting patients in building resilient, sustainable health at every stage of life.
