About Carmine

Carmine completed his undergrad and Master’s in Occupational Therapy at the University of Manitoba in 2019. He has experience working in the adult and pediatric world, focusing on client’s goals related to participation, engagement, and independence in living. In the adult world, his experience ranges from working in a Home Care and community setting within the client’s home to support mobility, safety, and independent living skills. In pediatrics, his experiences range from working with pre-schoolers and families in First Nations across Manitoba, supporting schools in rural areas, developing and supporting programming for children and youth. He has experience in supporting client’s goals related to reaching developmental milestones, fine motor skills, self-care, sensory processing and regulation, developing social and play skills, executive functioning, and home accessibility. His passion for occupational therapy began through volunteering roles at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg at the Children’s Hospital and Rehabilitation Clinics. A lifelong enthusiasm for working with children and youth and within a larger community setting, coupled with his strong desire to help others, has shaped his career and continues to fuel his work as an occupational therapist. Outside of the clinic, he loves spending time with family and friends, playing boardgames, staying active, and traveling.
