POPULATION: Adults, Children, Families, Couples OFFERING VIRTUAL SESSIONS I am a Registered Psychotherapist, licensed with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and a Registered Art Therapist with the Ontario Art Therapy Association. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from York University and a Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. I began my career in 1996 and have worked in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, schools, and multidisciplinary centres, and have had the pleasure of seeing many people’s lives improve as a result of therapy. I am passionate about helping clients navigate their issues and concerns, to develop skills and strategies towards achieving their goals and a greater quality of life. This may include improving interpersonal skills, resolving conflicts, strengthening relationships, reducing anxiety and stress, increasing self-esteem and self-awareness, managing emotions and behaviours, and enhancing or learning new coping strategies. My approach is gentle, non-judgmental, supportive and empowering. I provide individual, couple and family therapy, with a client centred and strengths based perspective, drawing on my expertise and training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Art Therapy and Trauma Informed Approaches. I create a safe space to discuss and work through issues and concerns that may be difficult or challenging, while offering objectivity, compassion, validation and understanding. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to develop a plan that is supportive of their hopes, needs, wants, and goals, to help promote healing and growth.
