I would like to highly recommend Cameron for anyone searching for a physio specializing in shoulder conditions. He was recommended to me by a colleague when I hurt my shoulder in a fall (tendon tear) and despite seeing another physio regularly, and doing the prescribed exercises, my symptoms worsened over time, leading to a frozen shoulder. Cameron recognized this right away based on my presenting movement patterns and symptoms. He explained the condition thoroughly (my original injury and the frozen shoulder), his treatment approach, expected recovery timelines and possible adjunctive treatments (I ultimately benefitted from a steroid injection when my progress stalled). I learnt that pain symptoms of frozen shoulder need to be respected, not pushed through. He showed me how to do this. He readily shares his experiences and is up to date on current research. He explains all recommended exercises thoroughly and observes you doing them so that your technique is appropriate - all about quality of the movement. Home exercise programs are carefully laid out and described with specific instructions and descriptions/pictures. When I was challenged at points to complete the recommended 45min + per day exercise routine, he worked with me to streamline the recommendations, and number of follow up visits, to fit into my other life demands. He always runs punctually. Thou he may be treating multiple patients concurrently, he sets you up with an exercise, while he may attend to another patient, so you work through your exercise routine during your appointment, and he can monitor your symptoms through repeated exercises and adjust the routine as necessary, over the course of a full session. I am very appreciative for his help and support in my shoulder recovery.

After several years of shoulder pain due to a mountain bike fall, and multiple treatments with various physiotherapists, an osteopath thankfully referred me to Cameron Bennett in July 2022. Cameron immediately sent me to have an x-ray and an ultrasound. He reviewed the results with me, which included multiple issues, and sent me on a path that ultimately led to shoulder surgery in May 2023. Cameron managed my recovery, and as a result my surgery was very successful. I have full ROM, and no more pain!! 11 months later I am working on building up strength. I am extremely grateful for Cameron’s (gentle) insistence that I follow his plan, and not rush the rehab. I highly recommend Cameron for his knowledge, expertise and honesty. Thanks Cameron!

I tore my rotator cuff and required surgery to have it repaired. Surgery was in June 2023 at Lions Gate Hospital in North Van. I then went through the arduous rehab process (recovery is long - can be 9 mo.- 1 year, and at times quite painful). Cameron has been absolutely fantastic; he's a very gifted physiotherapist and his expertise, skills and insights are 2nd to none. The rehab process has been exceptional every step of the way. I would not be where I am in my recovery without his help. You have to put in the work to see the results (but don't push it!), but he's the person to guide you through shoulder rehab and physiotherapy. I would not go to a more "general" physiotherapist for something like this. I realized just how complex the shoulder is, and I really valued the fact that he specializes in shoulder related injuries and rehabilitation. One other note: post surgery, you receive a very little booklet from the hospital/surgeon's office on the "do's and "don'ts", and periodically see the surgeon for quick follow ups on your progress, issues etc. But you don't actually start the physio rehab process until ~6 weeks post-op (I was not allowed to do any physio until then, as my arm was immobile in a sling for 6 weeks). Leading up to the surgery and for 6 weeks post-op I had so many questions, so much uncertainty about what I could and should not do and really no where to turn except the internet (!) (surgeons are so busy, hard to get their time & ask them everything, and not as focused on the post op side as much). I wish I met Cam BEFORE my surgery to help me prepare and understand what I would be going through (not 6 weeks after it was done when I came out of the sling). He has been a wealth of information and a reassuring voice when I thought I had re-injured my shoulder on a few occasions. I would highly recommend him if you require physiotherapy treatment for your shoulder. Great experience all around.

I enjoy multiple sports but last year I developed restricted mobility in both of my shoulders. My physician referred me to a seasoned physiotherapist that resulted in a disappointing 1 hour consultation that only lasted a 25 minutes. I decided to do my own research & seek out a physiotherapist that specialized in shoulders that could hopefully give me a musculoskeletal (MSK) exam/evaluation. Fortunately I found Cameron Bennett at shoulder physio.ca I had a thorough initial consultation with Cam to reassess the root cause of my problem. Cam was not pleased with my recent X-rays & suggested we start by getting fresh, additional X-rays to ensure something hadn't been overlooked. I instructed the radiographer to reshoot specific views of my shoulders, as requested by Cam, namely auxiliary views, outlet views, & zanca views. The radiologist took the additional images & Cam was able to download them which we viewed & discussed together on my latest follow up appmt. Thanks to Cam’s expertise I have since had well informed factual conversations with my physician & we now have a resolution plan. Cam was happy to communicate his findings directly with my physician. Cam is also a multi sport athlete, he is thorough, has an impressive resume, extensive experience, great intuition, an upbeat demeanour & always follows up.

Omg Cameron is the best! In just two treatments of neck massage for what I thought was a shoulder injury of 20 plus years I was better! A good friend that was an athlete kept telling me I needed surgery … boy did Cameron ever prove him wrong! At long last I can sleep on both sides again. Thank you thank you Cameron. Debbie Kernick

I've had good results with Jeff here. But when seeing Cameron, I really didn't like how he would juggle three patients at a time. So when you book a hour visit you really only get about 20 minutes of one-on-one care. I found he was rushed and too fast, didn't listen enough to my comments regarding symptoms, and for this reason severely overlooked a primary cause of my issue we were trying to resolve. Since working with another one-on-one physio I have made great progress.
