About Calum
Hi, I'm Calum. I’m a registered clinical counsellor (BCACC #23339) with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. My approach to counselling is rooted in empathy and collaboration, helping you find balance, healing, and well-being. I most often work with people facing anxiety, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. I also have a particular interest in conflict - whether external, relational, or internal - that creates repetitive, hurtful patterns.
From my experiences as both a client and practitioner, I’m a strong believer in counselling’s ability to help people move through life’s difficult periods. I’m genuinely honoured that you’re considering working with me. Please know I’m committed to supporting you with care, respect, and dedication during our time together.
Before becoming a counsellor I held a variety of roles focused on helping others - whether they were building prosthetics for children, playing rugby at the Olympics, or building stronger communities. At the core of my work has always been the goal of creating safety, trust, and connection, and I bring that same commitment into my counselling practice.
Outside of counselling, you’ll usually find me outdoors with my daughter, wife and Timber - our flat-coated retriever mix. I can’t seem to walk past a bike shop without being drawn in, and Timber is the same with anywhere he thinks might have treats.
