About Brian

Brian Abbott studied traditional Chinese medicine at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Toronto, where he learned acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, tuina, and other important modalities and health concepts. He also studied Reiki at Wuji Xuan Life Wellness, achieving his Reiki II attunement in 2024. Also holding a master’s degree in Music Composition, he has always been fascinated by the healing properties of sound and recently decided to bridge his two disciplines of music and healing together by performing sound baths, which draw on all his medical knowledge, the anatomy of the ear, psychoacoustics, and ancient music theory. Brian is also active on the Toronto experimental music scene and has had his music performed as far afield as Portugal, Budapest, New York, Boston, Montreal, among others.
