Welcome! I am a registered Social Worker with a background in Child and Youth Care, working specifically within the youth shelter and transitional housing systems. I have a background in Child and Youth Care, specifically within the shelter and transitional housing systems. I support youth in navigating mental health, developing coping skills, and building greater self-esteem and self-acceptance. These experiences have shown me the valuable healing and growth that happens in our relationships to one another and in community. I am passionate about working alongside children, adolescents, and young people to support them in their journeys of self-discovery and mental, emotional wellbeing. Informed by my clinical, community, and lived experiences of mental health and trauma, my therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that we are experts in our own experiences and that effective therapeutic relationships must honour this truth. I believe that we all come to therapy with different strengths, expectations, and goals which must be respected and explored to best guide our work together. I am informed by parts work (IFS), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), polyvagal, trauma informed stabilization treatment (TIST), and narrative approaches in my practice. I take a trauma-informed, harm reduction, and anti-oppressive approach to working with clients from all walks of life and perspectives.
