Ashley is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Honours at the University of the Fraser Valley in 2022. Over the years, Ashley has dedicated much of her time working alongside youth and adults with diverse abilities, focusing on supporting their personal growth towards independence and overall well-being. Most recently, she has been working closely with high school students, helping them navigate emotional, mental, academic, and social challenges. Ashley takes a collaborative, person-centered approach, focusing on empowering individuals, while integrating approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. She strives to create a counselling environment that is warm and non-judgmental, where clients feel heard, understood, and inspired to work through their challenges. Ashley’s experience playing high level sports has shaped her understanding of discipline, resilience, and goal achievement, which she incorporates into her collaborative approach to support clients in reaching their personal goals. Her kind, caring, and unassuming nature allows her to build trust and form meaningful connections with those she works with. Ashley is excited to join ProMentality as a counselling intern and to support individuals as they navigate their personal growth and life journey’s.
