About Ashi
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Over the years, I’ve supported adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, workplace stress, relationship difficulties, and more.
Before joining private practice in BC, I worked internationally as a psychologist and clinical team lead, conducting therapy and supervising clinicians across diverse cultural and organizational settings. I have facilitated workshops, developed treatment programs, and been featured in major media outlets—including India Today and Times of India—for my work in mental health advocacy and psychoeducation. I can provide counselling in both English and Hindi.
I’m committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where clients from all backgrounds can explore their emotions, experiences, and aspirations with care and confidence.
I believe therapy works best when it feels authentic, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. My role is not just to help you manage symptoms, but to help you reconnect with your sense of wholeness and self-worth. I take a trauma-informed, non-pathologizing, and culturally sensitive stance that honours your lived experience and personal strengths.
Every session is a dialogue—an exploration of your story at your pace, where you can feel seen, heard, and supported in developing resilience and long-term emotional balance.
My practice draws from multiple evidence-based modalities, including:
• Client-Centred Therapy
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
• Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT)
• Narrative Therapy
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Psychodynamic Therapy
• Mindfulness-Based Practices
I tailor therapy to each person’s needs—whether you’re seeking structured skill-building, deeper insight, or a safe space to process and heal. Together, we’ll work toward clarity, resilience, and lasting emotional well-being.
