About Anya

Anya has been a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario since 2017, but has a history with body work and massage that goes back to her childhood. Her experience ambles through Latin America for several years, through two massage therapy schools (Chichén Itzá School of Massage Therapy in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2010, and Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto from 2015-2016), mentorships in Mexico, Guatemala and Argentina, and a wide variety of continuing education across the Americas. Anya has been actively pursuing more breadth and depth of knowledge in her field for over a decade. Being legally blind (permanent 20/200 vision), proudly queer, bilingual and having a history of chronic illness (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) all inform her philosophy as an RMT, and keep her looking outside, inside and all around the box for answers. From both a personal and clinical perspective, Anya believes strongly in the importance of tailoring treatments to the unique experiences and goals of each individual, and is enthusiastic about creating the best treatment experience for everyone.
