About Andrew
Where are you from?
Hong Kong
What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
I graduated from SFU Business and spent a few years in digital marketing before realizing I wanted to pursue something more personal and meaningful. That path led me to massage therapy, where I can combine my interest in wellness with helping people feel better.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
I’ve experienced chronic lower back pain myself, and that journey deepened my appreciation for how much compassionate and effective care can matter. It inspired me to pursue massage therapy so I can help others feel supported, improve their well-being, and make a real difference in their daily lives, which is something I find truly rewarding.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
I love cooking and creating fusion dishes inspired by different cultures, and I enjoy sharing meals with the people I care about. I also love expanding my heritage wear, jewelry, and art collection, and staying active through weightlifting, running, and trekking. Most of all, I value taking time for reflection and gratitude.
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
My cohort, my teachers and how the program is organized.
Do you speak any languages other than English fluently? If so, which ones?
Cantonese and Mandarin.
