About Andrea: Andrea is a Registered Occupational Therapist with a focus on supporting children and families. She graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 1998 from the University of Alberta and since then has worked in a variety of school, clinic, and community locations specializing in pediatric services. She has been fortunate to work with a variety of multidisciplinary teams and values an integrative approach to working with children and families throughout their developmental journey. She has been a lifelong learner, attending courses and conferences throughout her clinical practice, with a continued focus on being well versed in new approaches and evidenced based practice.
Using a child's interests and strengths is prioritized in her approach, working with families to help children reach their full potential. She offers a range of services including assessment, direct treatment, caregiver coaching, and recommendations for environmental adaptations, strategies, and equipment. She brings a playful and enthusiastic approach to her sessions, building connections with children and recognizing that the best learning happens when kids are confident and engaged in their therapeutic journey.
Outside of work, Andrea lives in Strathcona County with her family and very large and energetic dog. She is an avid water enthusiast and loves to swim and paddleboard. In her quieter downtime she can be found cooking, baking, puzzling, reading, crafting, or having coffee with friends.
