Andrea is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (#11247805) with an open heart, open ears, and a passion for supporting others’ quest towards greater fulfillment in their lives. Having obtained her Master of Counselling through City University of Seattle in Canada, Andrea has been companioning individuals and groups through trying times as a counsellor, hospice volunteer, end-of-life doula and grief educator since 2022. Whatever her clients’ burdens, Andrea brings compassion, curiosity and a deep respect for the unique journey of every individual. Past clients have described her style as warm, experiential and gently directive, and her sessions as “more than an expensive coffee date”. Drawing on her strong mindfulness background, she can help you to better understand your inner world so you can make peace with the past, skillfully engage with the present and move forward with purpose. Andrea operates from a non-pathologizing, trauma-informed and holistic stance and is committed to creating a culturally safe and brave space for whatever identities her clients bring. Andrea primarily uses Internal Family Systems (IFS), a non-pathologizing and experiential approach that fosters understanding of our inner experience and self-compassion. Clients who have previously been in traditional talk therapy often find IFS brings on a whole new level of clarity and change. She further integrates mindfulness and existential approaches (e.g. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Meaning Centred Therapy) as well as Pain Reprocessing Therapy . Andrea provides tailored care to clients experiencing a range of issues, with a special focus on anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, grief & loss and end-of-life.
