About Andrea

Andrea Doroszkiewicz brings over 13 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field. As a Registered Psychotherapist since 2018, her passions include supporting individuals in navigating and managing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, stress, decision making, substance use, procrastination and worry. She has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and brings knowledge from both a personal and professional perspective. Andrea incorporates aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy in her work. She works collaboratively with clients in ushering them towards improving their quality of life by strengthening their tolerance for uncertainty, becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable, and improving their psychological flexibility. Diagrams, visuals, and metaphors are a constant presence in Andrea’s practise. These tools help us learn and recall important concepts, especially outside of the therapy session!
