About Amy

Hello and welcome! I am a Registered Psychologist that offers support to families, children, and teens in Calgary and online throughout Alberta. I provide a safe and supportive space for children and teens to talk and learn new ways to cope. I also conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to help provide you with a greater understanding of how your child learns while giving you strategies to enhance school success. I earned my Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary and am registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I am also a member of both the Psychologists' Association of Alberta and the Association for Play Therapy. I am trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and have completed additional education at the Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute where I obtained a certificate in play therapy. I also hold a Post-Master's Certificate in Trauma-Informed Clinical Practice from New York University. I worked for several years as a psychologist at the Calgary Board of Education where I conducted psychoeducational assessments and provided counselling to students. I have also worked with families receiving assistance through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD). I currently provide learning assessments for adults through the Never Too Late Program at Catholic Family Services. I have experience in assessment and counselling for children and adolescents in the areas of ADHD, learning disorders, intellectual disorders, giftedness, behavioral difficulties, trauma, and emotional concerns. I look forward to meeting you and your child!
