Supporting Ages: Adults 18+, and Couples I am currently a Masters level MA in Counselling Psychology practicum student, practicing onsite under the clinical supervision of an approved Site Supervisor. My journey into counselling didn’t start in an office with a bookshelf of psychology texts it began on the gym floor, helping people lift more than just weights. As a personal trainer, I realized that while physical strength is important, what truly fascinated me was the resilience and complexity of the human mind. People found it easy to open up to me, maybe because I listened without judgment. Curiosity (and maybe a touch of existential wonder) led me from fitness into mindfulness coaching, where I learned the art of being present, even when life feels like a never-ending group chat pinging on ten different apps. Through years of mentorship and my own practice, I became a student of psychology, human nature, and even a bit of spirituality because sometimes you need more than deep breathing to get through the day. The more I learned, the clearer it became we live in a world that’s fast, noisy, and always “on.” No wonder anxiety, depression, and overwhelm are frequent visitors in our lives and no wonder we’re so hard on ourselves when we can’t keep up. When it comes to how I can support you, my specializations include working with anxiety disorders, ADHD, dopamine detoxes/overstimulation, depression, stress management, and couples therapy. I draw from a blend of proven modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to help you notice and shift unhelpful thought patterns Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) for practical, forward-thinking strategies Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to help connect with and process deep emotions, and Gestalt therapy for increasing self-awareness and living more authentically. If we end up working together, you can expect a collaborative, culturally sensitive, and down-to-earth approach always with a sense of curiosity and, when appropriate, a touch of humor. My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges and rediscover your strengths, one step at a time.
