After almost twenty years living on Vancouver Island, Amanda Giraud is proud to call the Kootenay's her home once again. As a teen, Amanda played on numerous sport's teams and was frequently asked by teammates to massage their sore muscles. This led to her interest in pursuing massage therapy as a career.
Amanda attended the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC.
After graduating, she worked for various resorts on Vancouver Island including: The Wickaninnish Inn, The Fairmont Express and Bear Mountain.
During her time on the island, Amanda acquired the skills to become a Chartered Herbalist, Yoga Instructor and a Lomi Lomi ( Hawaiian Massage) teacher.
Amanda's massage therapy treatments have a clinical approach incorporating massage, stretching, trigger point therapy, warm hydrotherapy applications and myofascial release. She loves to share her knowledge of massage therapy, yoga, health and fitness and provides a genuine and compassionate environment for her clients.
When Amanda is not working or teaching, she enjoys hiking with her Weimaraner, foraging for wild mushrooms, people watching at outdoor cafes, travelling to distant lands and savouring laughter of friends (with a glass of Prosecco!)
