Alta graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Pretoria in her home country of South Africa. After graduation she spent many years working in acute and sub-acute rehabilitation settings, with a special focus on post stroke rehabilitation as well as orthopaedic rehabilitation. Alta also has a great passion for vestibular rehabilitation and has completed multiple courses in this area.
Alta is a lover of the outdoors, and spent many weekends on the mountains and foothills in South Africa and cannot wait to explore all the nature and opportunities available on our lovely island.
Alta has clinical experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of muscle, joint, bone and nerve issues. She has completed continuing education courses on vestibular rehabilitation, post stroke rehabilitation, concussion management, and musculoskeletal injuries and treatment. She also has a special interest in the two extremes of both pediatric and geriatric rehabilitation.
