About Ally
Ally Fanning was born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia. Her athletic upbringing and early passion for health and movement led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University, graduating in 2018. During her studies, she was introduced to an osteopath whose approach to manual therapy broadened her perspective on health and inspired her to pursue further education in holistic care.
This path led Ally to complete a Diploma in Massage Therapy at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in 2020, where she graduated at the top of her class with a specialization in sports massage. Through this training she developed a strong foundation in anatomy, human performance, and advanced palpation skills while gaining valuable experience supporting individuals with a wide range of musculoskeletal concerns.
Motivated to deepen her understanding of the body’s interconnected systems, Ally continued her education with the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques in Halifax, where she completed five years of study with distinction in the manual practice of osteopathy. Osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on approach that works with the body’s natural ability to heal by improving mobility, circulation, and overall balance. In practice, Ally integrates her training in osteopathy, massage therapy, and movement science to provide individualized care that supports recovery, prevents injury, and promotes long-term well-being.
She has a particular professional interest in scar mobilization, visceral osteopathy, and cranial-sacral therapy, with a focus on restoring healthy tissue mobility and supporting the body’s natural capacity for regulation and healing.
Ally’s dedication to health and personal growth has also led her to pursue a 200-hour yoga teacher certification in India in 2019. She has long been involved in sport and recreation within the Truro community and remains passionate about helping people stay active and engaged in the activities they enjoy. Ally continues her involvement through coaching and participating in local sports, while also enjoying time outdoors and making memories with her husband, their animals, and her many beloved nieces and nephews.
