Allan specializes in working with adults experiencing personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma-related difficulties including PTSD. He has a particular interest in personality assessment and in understanding how early relationships and traumatic experiences shape identity, emotional well-being, and patterns of relating to others.
Since 2017, Allan has provided psychotherapy to adults experiencing anxiety and depression across a range of clinical settings, and has received specialized training in the assessment and treatment of PTSD, including among first responders. He is currently completing his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University, with training focused on evidence-based assessment and psychotherapy.
Allan's approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and integrative, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and informed by humanistic and attachment-based perspectives. He believes meaningful change begins with feeling understood, and works to build a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate, curious, and free of judgement. In session, he helps clients understand the thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns behind their distress, while developing practical strategies for managing anxiety and stress, with the goal of helping clients build lives that feel stable, authentic, and meaningful.
