About Ali

Ali is a Doctor of Psychology student in Clinical Psychology at Adler University in Vancouver, British Columbia. She previously completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Ottawa, where she contributed to eating disorder research in the Eating Disorder Research Lab. Her passion for supporting others began while volunteering in Child Life at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, where she supported children, youth, and families from across Canada during challenging medical experiences. Since then, Ali has gained experience in hospital, community, and clinical settings that has strengthened her commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and resilience. Over the past year, Ali has provided individual therapy in a private practice setting in downtown Vancouver, working with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Previously, she provided comprehensive psychological assessments at the Community Assessment Clinic, working with incarcerated and marginalized individuals throughout the Lower Mainland. In addition, she has worked with Battered Women’s Support Services, where she supported survivors of gender-based violence and intimate partner violence through trauma-informed care and advocacy. Ali believes that every person’s experiences, strengths, and challenges are unique, and she strive to tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs and goals. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person’s story. Ali aims to create a space where clients feel safe to explore difficult experiences, develop new perspectives and coping skills, and work toward meaningful and lasting change. Outside of her clinical work and studies, Ali enjoys paddle boarding, playing tennis, and spending quality time with friends, family, and her dog Sully.
