About Alexandra

Insurance Claims can be under Psychotherapy and/or Social Work Alexandra is passionate about empowering clients with the support and skills necessary to move through life's challenges with greater resiliency. She sees a client's decision to begin counselling as a courageous act of self-care, but that can often also bring feelings of uncertainty and fear. As such, she works to provide a therapeutic relationship that supports trust, honesty, understanding, and collaboration. Alexandra spent many years in the non-profit sector providing counselling to clients in challenging relationships, trauma survivors, addictions, grief, personality disorders, and conflict. A lifelong athlete, she previously worked in the health and fitness industry as a nutrition coach and athletic trainer, providing counselling and support to clients recovering from disordered eating and body image concerns. She has a personal interest in adult ADHD and helping clients to understand their unique abilities and challenges while building systems that can reduce stress, increase confidence, and highlight all the ways neurodivergence is a strength. She is active in continuing education and received course training from Wilfrid Laurier University in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She also completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level I, Advanced Motivational Interviewing, ASIST Suicide Intervention, and Restorative Justice Training. Education: Alexandra is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Adult Development from the University of Guelph, as well as a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Waterloo.
