Alex is a registered social worker, who graduated from Carleton University for their Masters of Social Work and has an undergraduate degree in Behaviour Analysis from George Brown College. Alex worked at the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC) for two years supporting clients and their families with disordered eating and eating disorders. Alex has experience co-facilitating groups for adolescents and adults living with mental health, substance use concerns, and disordered eating.
Alex completed their MSW clinical practicum at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre on the Mood and Crisis inpatient unit, supporting folks with psychosis and mood disorders. Over the past two years, Alex has worked in healthcare in both inpatient and outpatient settings primarily supporting individuals living with mental health.
