Alex is a Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia. He holds a Master's in Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops B.C.
Alex has over 15 years of extensive experience working with clients with respect to critical incidences in the RCMP, with Veterans, and in the community, which showcases his commitment to serving first responder and civilian populations.. He also holds PTSD Exposure Therapy training, specifically used in RTW settings. He sees adults from age 18+ online and in the Lower Mainland.
Alex is passionate about aiding individuals in their recovery from trauma disorders, mental health challenges, and post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms due to workplace injury or accident. He has extensive knowledge in anxiety, depression, and mental health challenges associated with injury, chronic illness, concussion and workplace injury.
His niche specialized training is in providing comprehensive support during workplace traumatic incidences, hospital discharges, return to work assessments, mental health rehab, specialist reports for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and chronic illness. He also provides assessment on function while addressing equipment needs, optimizing ergonomics, and facilitating rehabilitation for physical injuries and concussions.
