About Alejandra
Alejandra Carvaja is a Registered Psychotherapist registered with the College of Psychotherapist of Ontario as well as member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Mental Health professionals (OAMHP). Alejandra holds a Psychology degree from Universidad Andrés Bello, Chile, with advanced training in Family Systems and Relational Psychotherapy.
With over 18 years of experience in psychotherapy, Alejandra provides a warm and supportive space where individuals, couples, and families can explore challenges and work toward emotional growth and connection. Her approach draws from psychodynamic and systemic perspectives, helping clients understand how past experiences and relationships shape their present patterns. Alejandra works together with clients to identify new ways to foster balance, self-awareness, and meaningful change.
Alejandra has an extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, parents, and couples through life transitions, emotional difficulties, ADHD diagnosis and symptoms, social and behavioural issues as well as relational concerns among other difficulties. Before joining private practice, Alejandra led a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit, collaborating closely with schools and community programs to strengthen family and community well-being.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Alejandra is committed to create a compassionate and culturally sensitive environment where each person feels heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with confidence and clarity.
