Alana is a Registered Massage Therapist and a graduate of the 3000 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria BC. Since beginning her studies of Massage Therapy in 2011, she has developed an interest in treating chronic pain conditions such as Fibromyalgia and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. She also enjoys treating TMJ disfunction, headaches, and has an interest in the effects Massage Therapy can have on mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. She also offers Hot Stone Massage and loves the therapeutic value of this modality.
Her treatment style focuses on relaxing the nervous system while incorporating various massage techniques to reduce tension. She also puts emphasis on the importance of self-care by offering individualized education on stretching, strengthening and postural awareness.
Alana is also an instructor and clinic supervisor for the Massage Therapy program, and loves having the opportunity to help others begin their careers in the industry.
