About Aisha
Aisha is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and professional member of the Canadian
Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Memorial University and a Master of Arts in
Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Aisha offers individual sessions and works
with adults and adolescents aged 12 and older. She has experience supporting clients navigating
anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, life stressors, neurodiverse needs, career planning, mood
disorders, grief, addiction, PTSD, intimate partner violence, and suicidal ideation.
Aisha’s therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centred, holistic, and integrative principles.
She recognizes that each person’s experiences are shaped by their relationships, identities,
environments, and unique life circumstances. Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities,
including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and Somatic Therapy,
Aisha thoughtfully adapts her approach to meet each client’s individual needs, goals, and
preferences.
Aisha is committed to creating a therapeutic space that is trauma-informed, culturally aware, and
2SLGBTQI+ affirmative. She believes in meeting each person with compassion, curiosity, and
respect for their autonomy and lived experience. Her goal is to foster a judgement-free
environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, develop greater self-
understanding, and work toward meaningful change at their own pace.
Outside of counselling, Aisha is a homebody who enjoys getting lost in a good novel and playing
video games. She likes to stay active through strength training, spending time outdoors, and
going for walks. She finds joy in spending time with the people and animal companions she
loves, including her partner and their two feline babies, Jiji and Theo.
