Adem Jetha is a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner with a background in kinesiology, rehabilitation, and osteopathic medicine. He completed a four-year undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, with a major in Rehabilitation, at Ontario Tech University, followed by four years of osteopathic education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy.
Adem’s approach to practice is rooted in the principle that the body should be understood as a whole rather than as a collection of isolated parts. He looks beyond the location of a patient’s symptoms, considering the relationships between structure, function, movement, history, and the individual’s physical demands. His goal is to develop an understanding of each patient’s unique presentation and allow that understanding to guide treatment.
Assessment and treatment are integrated throughout each visit. Adem continually assesses and reassesses his patients, using his findings to determine where and when treatment is appropriate. His osteopathic education emphasized palpatory skills, handling, clinical reasoning, and osteopathic principles rather than relying on a predetermined set of techniques. As a result, no two treatments are necessarily the same; each is tailored to the individual and adapted to how they present on that particular day.
His background in rehabilitation, strength training, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has given him a particular appreciation for the physical demands placed on the body through sport, training, work, and everyday life. He enjoys working with active individuals and athletes while welcoming patients from all walks of life.
Adem believes effective care should ultimately give patients greater confidence in their bodies rather than create dependence on their practitioner. His goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care while helping patients better understand their bodies and return to the activities and quality of life that matter to them. For Adem, osteopathy is ultimately about understanding the person, not simply treating the problem they present with.
