About Ada

Ada is a warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed Provisional Psychologist and a Grief Recovery Specialist who is passionate about supporting individuals through healing, growth, and self-discovery. She believes that therapy is not about “fixing” people, but about creating a safe and supportive space where clients can reconnect with their strengths, process difficult experiences, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and authentic. Ada works with teens, adults, and older adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, ADHD, OCD, emotional dysregulation, relationship and parenting challenges, postpartum depression, and life transitions. As a trauma informed practitioner and grief recovery specialist, she understands the deep emotional impact that loss, unresolved grief, and life changes can have on individuals and families, and she is passionate about helping clients process painful experiences with compassion, care, and support. She strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, heard, respected, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves. Her approach is holistic, collaborative, and client-centred, integrating evidence-based modalities including EMDR Therapy, Greif Recovery method, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based practices, and attachment-informed approaches. Ada is especially mindful of creating emotional safety when working with trauma and grief, carefully supporting clients at a pace that feels manageable, grounding, and empowering. Ada deeply values the uniqueness of every individual and recognizes how experiences related to race, culture, religion, gender, identity, and socioeconomic background can shape mental health, relationships, and the healing process. She approaches therapy with an awareness of this intersectionality and is committed to providing culturally responsive, inclusive, and person-centred care that honours each client’s lived experience. Ada is known for her empathetic, grounded, and genuine presence and is committed to building strong therapeutic relationships as foundation for measurable and meaningful change while helping clients cultivate insight, resilience, self-compassion, and emotional well-being. Her goal is to support individuals in moving from a place of pain, overwhelm, grief, or feeling stuck toward greater clarity, connection, healing, and overall wellness. Ada is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and a member of the Grief Recovery Institute. She holds a Master of Counselling degree from Athabasca University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mount Allison University. Ada has availability on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Book a session with Ada today and take the first step toward the care and support you deserve!
