Xianmin is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner and Acupuncturist in Ontario with over 18 years of hands-on clinical experience. He brings together the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the science of Western medicine to offer thoughtful, effective, and personalized care.
Xianmin completed his Master’s Degree in TCM at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and his Bachelor’s Degree at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. To further strengthen his integrative approach, he also earned a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from Western University in Canada. This unique educational background allows him to understand the body from both traditional and modern medical perspectives.
Before moving to Canada, Xianmin spent many years working in major general hospitals in China, progressing from intern to attending TCM physician. During this time, he gained extensive experience treating a wide range of conditions, including acute and chronic pain, digestive concerns, dizziness, tinnitus, weight management issues, and stress-related concerns such as insomnia, emotional tension, irritability, and chronic fatigue.
He also has rich experience in women’s health, helping patients with concerns such as menstrual pain, irregular cycles, perimenopausal symptoms, and fertility challenges. Urinary incontinence is one of his areas of special expertise and was the focus of his master’s research in TCM.
As an active member of CMTO, Xianmin is also skilled at relieving muscle tension and restoring mobility, helping patients manage neck and shoulder pain, upper and lower back pain, sciatic pain, and other musculoskeletal issues.
Xianmin offers a variety of treatments tailored to each patient’s needs, including acupuncture, Chinese herbs and formulas, cupping therapy (including sliding cupping), Tuina, and therapeutic massage.
His goal is simple: to help patients relieve pain, restore function, reduce stress, and feel more balanced and relaxed in their daily lives.
