Virginia was born and raised in the Okanagan in Kelowna BC. She attended The University of British Columbia Okanagan where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Shortly after graduating from University she and her partner moved to Vancouver BC where she pursued becoming a registered massage therapist. She graduated from The Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2015 and has been practicing since.
Virginia has experience in working with all sorts of individuals from weekend warriors to desk workers, from older adults/seniors to teenagers/children. Virginia has also in the past worked specifically with individuals with scoliosis.
She aims to treat each person as a whole and truly believes the mind body connection is an important factor to keep in mind when providing massage therapy. Her treatments involve deep tissue work while also incorporating a relaxation component in order to promote the parasympathetic nervous system. Our bodies too often remain in sympathetic - fight or flight - mode, so Virginia’s hope is that for the hour or so you are being treated that your body can relax and let go a little and you can return to life afterwards feeling a little lighter.
Virginia lives in North Vancouver with her husband, their 6 year old son, and 3 year old daughter. They also have a dog named Millie and a cat named Olive. When she has some time for herself she enjoys running, practicing yoga, puzzling, reading and dabbling in photography.
