About Victoria

Victoria has been working as a physiotherapist since 2012. She graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy from McGill University and has devoted a lot of her time to continuing education to keep up to date on the best current practices. She recently became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), as well as courses on running injury prevention, kinesiotaping and myofascial mobilizations. Victoria helps the clients she works with by identifying each client need through an array of assessment techniques. She then creates a tailored treatment plan to help them return to their meaningful activities. She has had success working with busy executives, those who participate in active lifestyles pursuits such as hiking, as well as a variety of clients focused on performance including runners, dancers and acrobats. Treatments include: - Soft tissue release - Mobilizations - Manipulations - Taping - Exercise prescription Victoria has developed a running assessment to help new and experienced runners prevent running injuries, return to running after injuries, and for performance improvement. This includes an in-depth look at running shoes and technique, as well as a tailored exercise and running program to help clients achieve their goals. One of Victoria’s passions is teaching. She has experience supervising university physiotherapy internships as well as having had several physiotherapy students and hopefuls shadow her. She was a teacher’s assistant at McGill University in the Physical Therapy program, and currently volunteers at the University of Toronto in some of the Physical Therapy practical labs. When Victoria isn’t treating in the clinic or teaching, she enjoys running outdoors, practicing yoga at home, indoor rock climbing, fitness boxing, as well as baking and cooking up a storm in the kitchen! She is an energized physiotherapist who believes creating a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients and strong professional relationships with her peers is the key to positive outcomes and success.
