About Veronica

Veronica is a registered counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA) and the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT). She specializes in in Trauma and Intimate Relationships counselling for the LGBTQ2SIA+ community and came out as transgender in 2016. Veronica practices a person-centred approach as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). She is also trained in suicide prevention (ASIST) as well as having a background and passion for working with neurodiversity (ADHD, ASD, OCD). Veronica has a Diploma in Professional Counselling and a Certificate in Counselling of Intimacy in Relationships obtained from the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training. She is now attending the University of Victoria to complete her Bachelor of Social Work and then become a Registered Social Worker.
