Umtej began his academic career at the University of Waterloo, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. His passion for improving the livelihood of others led him to pursue his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto.
Umtej believes in utilizing an evidence based rehabilitation program to achieve functional outcomes for his patients. His treatment approach combines manual therapy, education and therapeutic exercise to allow patients to return to the activities they cherish.
Umtej has experience treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including (but not limited to): rotator cuff tears, ACL injuries and back pain. He has worked with both pediatric and adult populations in clinical settings. Professionally, Umtej is furthering his knowledge by pursuing courses in acupuncture, manual therapy and functional movement screening (FMS).
Umtej is a firm believer in leading an active and healthy lifestyle and he enjoys playing basketball, volleyball and rugby.
