About Taylor

Hi, I’m Taylor. When I am not working I can often be found cuddling with my dog, riding horses, reading, drawing or planning my next backpacking adventure. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO. My masters degree is in Counselling Psychology and I have an undergraduate degree in Criminology and Psychology. During my masters degree I completed my clinical practicum hours providing trauma counselling to survivors of sexual violence, where I practiced a variety of therapeutic modalities with both individuals and groups. Prior to starting my psychotherapy journey I have had several years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of roles with individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges including complex mental health disorders, addictions, homelessness, developmental delays, neurodivergence and complex trauma. I believe in a holistic, client-centered and collaborative approach to psychotherapy. I believe that the client is the expert in their own story and a counsellors job is to provide the space, tools and support to aid in the clients journey to personal growth. I believe that change and healing is possible and that all people have unique qualities and experiences. My goal is for you to feel seen, heard and valued. I strive to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space where we can work together to identify your values, strengths, and the steps you want to take to move forward. I believe in incorporating a variety of therapeutic approaches to best fit the clients individual needs and goals. I am passionate about working with youth and young adults to manage a variety of mental health related challenges. This includes, but is not limited to; trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, neurodivergence, relationships, life transitions, self-esteem, coping with daily stressors, and relationships.
