About Taner

Taner graduated from First College in 2025 after spending 30 years in North Vancouver before making Kelowna his home. His path to becoming a massage therapist was shaped by a mix of curiosity, encouragement, and lived experience—most notably a nudge from his wife, who suggested the career change and, as he likes to say, she’s never wrong. Before entering the world of massage therapy, Taner spent years working in the Trades as a Journeyman Sprinklerfitter, a background that gave him a deep appreciation for biomechanics, physical resilience, and the importance of maintaining a healthy, functional body. Taner’s treatment style is grounded in communication, collaboration, and client empowerment. He begins each session with lighter, broader techniques to warm the tissues before transitioning into deeper, more focused work. While he enjoys treating a wide range of conditions, he has a particular interest in shoulder dysfunction and helping clients better understand their own movement patterns and body mechanics. His goal is for every client to leave feeling more informed, more capable, and more connected to their own wellbeing. Outside the clinic, Taner enjoys weightlifting, painting Warhammer miniatures, and diving into computer games—interests that reflect both his creative side and his love for all things nerdy. He is excited to be part of the Brix Wellness team and looks forward to supporting the health and wellness of the Kelowna community.
