About Samantha
Samantha is the Clinical Director of PsychSolutions, a
mental wellness clinic based in Edmonton. Samantha specializes in
the areas of trauma, bipolar management, MVA injury recovery, suicide prevention, and suicide bereavement.
Beginning January 2026, Samantha will be offering appointments exclusively through virtual or telephone sessions.
Her award-winning book, “Why Did Daddy End His Life? Why Did He
Have To Die? A Suicide Bereavement Book For Children And Parents,”
was informed and inspired by the experiences of the many people she
has had the privilege to support. Written from the perspective of a
young child, the book includes illustrations that capture many of the
thoughts and emotions experienced by grieving children. Common
concerns and questions that arise after such a loss, such as “How do
I explain suicide?” are addressed in the accompanying parent guide.
This children’s book facilitates connection and communication during
a family’s grief journey and helps parents ensure their children feel
understood and supported through their grief.
