About Nikita
What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
Before pursuing RMT, I worked at Lions Gate Hospital as a People Scheduling Clerk for the acute tower. Prior to that, I managed a multidisciplinary clinic in North Vancouver, where I worked closely alongside a variety of practitioners, including RMTS!
Why do you want to be an RMT?
I was drawn to massage therapy because it creates lasting impact. I believe in care that supports real, long term change instead of quick fixes. As a student therapist, I’m looking forward to combining hands on treatment with a compassionate and client centered approach.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
Outside of school and clinic, I enjoy camping, thrifting, and anything crafty! I enjoy a little baking, the beach, and a good classic road trip!
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
My favorite thing about VCMT is the community! My cohort has quickly become a cohesive and supportive group. The instructors and staff are all incredibly approachable, friendly, and genuinely caring. They create an environment where it feels safe to ask questions, learn, and grow, which makes my experience of becoming an RMT even more meaningful.
