About Nicole

Nicole holds a Master of Counselling degree and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She works with individuals (15 and older), couples and families. Nicole’s areas of focus are on relationships between the self and others (friends, partners, families), life transitions, and grief and loss. She is passionate about supporting others as they strive to reconnect with themselves and find connection with others during times of hardship. Her experience includes working with people struggling with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, self-love, complex PTSD/trauma, and personality disorders. As humans, we flourish when we feel connected, understood, and accepted by ourselves and others, allowing us to feel safe enough to reach outside our comfort zone and try something new. Nicole is non-pathologizing and empathetic as she strives to hold a safe and secure place for clients to embrace their vulnerability and create the possibility for a different and wonderful relationship with themselves, their partners, and their families. Nicole’s approach is integrative, but grounded in evidence-based modalities. She uses theories and techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals, couples, and families, attachment-based theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and EMDR Therapy.
