About Mitra

Mitra graduated from the Canadian College in Massage & Hydrotherapy in 2018 and is in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. He has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2019 and since has seen a large range of clientele in his short career. Mitra is typically sought after for deeper tissue massage and myofascial treatments, but is also proficient with the gentler general Swedish Massage techniques that help improve circulation and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. Mitra has also been certified in ultrasound therapy and is looking to add more modalities and courses to his repertoire. Mitra has an innate need to help others. Blending that compassion with his interest in biology and anatomy didn't occur to him until late in high school when he was first introduced to Kinesiology as a subject. Along with this interest in Kinesiology and Biology, Mitra was also very interested in athletics. Sports and conditioning have always been a part of Mitra's life but it wasn't until high school where he participated in the powerlifting team, football team, and attended a Muay Thai kickboxing gym that he really began to develop an interest in human movement. Mitra then was accepted to the University of Waterloo for Kinesiology but quickly realized that learning style wasn't suited for him and began to pursue massage therapy. Massage therapy allowed Mitra to work with both his mind and his hands. The most rewarding thing for Mitra about using this type of manual therapy is the tangible change and relatively instant results that clients see from each treatment.
