About Mia

Mia earned her Diploma of Acupuncture from Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC. She is a registered acupuncturist and certified practitioner of Balance Method acupuncture. Mia implements techniques such as mirror imaging, channel palpation and yin/yang balancing to create treatments that invoke a feeling of harmonious relaxation. Mia received training in advanced facial rejuvenation acupuncture with industry leading expert Michelle Gellis. Her Facial treatments include full-body acupuncture, gentle facial cupping, guasha and LED light therapy with the Celluma Pro. LED therapy works on a cellular level by aiding compromised cells in regeneration and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Exposure is shown to increase production of growth factors influencing inflammation, healing and wound repair. When paired with facial acupuncture this makes for a great combo to improve overall complexion, reducing wrinkles, acne and pain. After moving to Los Angeles in her early twenties, Mia’s fascination with the many facets of the health and wellness flourished. She dove deeply into her yoga and meditation practice, and was introduced to Reiki . From there, she knew she needed to expand her understanding of the energetic healing arts. Leading her to spend time living and working at a healing center in Cusco, Peru. These are some of the experiences that inspired her to pursue a profession in Chinese medicine. As a practitioner, they allow her to apply a well-rounded approach to each patient’s individual process. Mia has a special interest in treating pain, digestive issues, mental health, nervous system dysregulation, women’s health, fertility, and idiopathic issues. She offers various other modalities in her treatments, such as Reiki, craniosacral therapy, sound healing, tui na, cupping, and gua sha. She holds a safe space for people to come as they are and thrives on assisting patients in making subtle shifts towards a greater state of vitality and well-being.
