Marina Sitner has 20+ years of experience in massage therapy. She graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in 2004 and is registered with the CMT of BC. Marina’s treatment philosophy is an all-encompassing holistic approach to health and wellness. Her primary goal is to help restore optimal function by addressing the cause of the problem. Treatments vary with each individual and his/her specific condition to be able effectively address their particular needs. She is committed to her profession and has experience in a broad range of pathologies, including low back and neck pain, shoulder problems, sciatic nerve issues, headaches, computer-related stress, aches and pains, postural weakness, sport or auto injury pain, general stress, tension, anxiety, or depression. During treatment Marina uses a wide variety of modalities such as Swedish, Petrissage, Joint Mobilizations, Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Trigger Point, Myofascial and Soft Tissue Release (STR), Deep Tissue, passive and patient-assisted stretching and patient education to help patients reach their optimal health. Marina uses Hot Stones in each massage treatment. Some of the benefits of Hot Stones are: promote deeper relaxation, reduce stress and tension, provide relief to stiff muscles, enhance circulation, soothe the nervous system, enhance the metabolic rate, relieve chronic pain and free blocked energies in the body.
