About Mandy
Mandy Yip offers compassionate, patient-centred mental health care. She supports children, adolescents, and adults navigating stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, autism, and newcomer-related stress. She provides care that is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and tailored to each patient’s experiences and goals. Her approach focuses on helping patients build coping strategies, strengthen self-awareness, improve communication, and navigate emotional challenges with confidence and support.
Mandy uses evidence-informed approaches including Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapies, and trauma-informed care. She has experience supporting individuals with diverse mental health needs in both hospital and school settings, including work with Mount Sinai Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry and children and youth with autism and mental health challenges.
She holds a Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Sociology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Can provide therapy in both English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
