About Mallory

Where are you from? Vancouver, Canada What were you doing before pursuing RMT? Before pursuing RMT, I studied kinesiology and nutrition at university, travelled through South America and Asia to study yoga, and coached gymnastics in Vancouver and Arizona. Before that, I trained as a gymnast for 14 years and represented Canada in international competitions. Why do you want to be an RMT? I want to become an RMT because I want to help people manage pain, recover from injuries, and support their overall healing. As a former athlete, I've experienced the benefits of massage therapy in managing muscle pain and supporting the body’s healing process. Over the past 10 years, I've explored various wellness practices which deepened my interest in the connection between the mind, body, and well-being. This interest ultimately led me to pursue a career as an RMT. How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school? Outside of school, I enjoy staying active through cycling, yoga, snowboarding, and skateboarding. I also enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with my friends and family. What is your favourite thing about VCMT? My favourite thing about VCMT is the strong sense of community. I love how supportive the students and instructors are, and how the school provides us with the knowledge and tools we need to become successful RMTs.
