Luke completed his Master of Physical Therapy degree at the University of British Columbia in 2015 after obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. Born in Scotland but raised on the island, Luke has found home in the Westshore and is excited to serve it’s growing community.
Luke’s clinical practice incorporates elements of manual therapy, IMS/dry needling, pain education, and therapeutic exercise. He has acquired certification in anatomical acupuncture through the Acupuncture Federation of Canada Institute and AN-IMS through Foundations Health Education. He is also participating in additional post-graduate training through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute. Luke has served as an external provider for Rugby Canada working predominantly with the Men’s Sevens team.
Over recent years, Luke has become an avid runner and has a special interest in working with recreational and competitive runners. He has a passion for strength training, believing it to be the foundational building block of many forms of exercise and activity, which can be applied to all levels of rehabilitation. Luke also enjoys participating in activities such as golf, basketball, softball and yoga. Outside of sport and activities he loves spending time and adventuring with his wife, daughter and goldendoodle Gus.
