As a Registered Social Worker, Luke offers services to those looking for support with their mental health and/or addictive behaviours. Luke specializes in assisting people with paraphilias/atypical sexual interests or behaviours (e.g., pedophilia, voyeurism, exhibitionism etc.). He also assists people with anger management problems, personality and mood disorders as well as substance use disorders. With 10 years experience, Luke’s practice focuses on providing therapy as well as risk assessments for those involved in the legal process due to sexual offences. He provides treatment, drawing on evidence-based practice such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Luke is currently a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Having previously worked as a Criminal Justice Social Worker in several municipalities in Scotland, Luke moved to Canada and he worked at the Sexual Behaviours Clinic at the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) before being employed at the University of Toronto where he currently provides therapeutic intervention to staff, students and faculty.
